Several months ago, Jo Barnett, our Head of Centre, decided to challenge herself to cycle ALL THE WAY from Lands End to John O' Groats during June 2010. She has now returned (only slightly tired!) in one piece, with over 1000 miles under her belt, as well as a whopping £1,000 raised for outdoor learning opportunities at the local school. The White Christmas at High Borrans has turned into a White New Year, as the centre is still looking like a magical winter wonderland. Staff have been walking and skiing into work to make sure the centre is ready for the first of our 2010 groups, and although the snow has slightly disrupted the building work on our new conservatory, we still hope to be able to complete it by the end of January.  

There have been more exciting developments at High Borrans this week with the introduction of our new Teachers Forum. You can use this to share and develop ideas about your stay at High Borrans, such as what to do with the group in the evening, which coach company to use, where to stop off for lunch on the way over...

We've finally arrived in the 21st Century with new ICT being installed at the Centre! Not only do we have a new system for the office, we also now have 13 laptops for use by visiting groups, as well as projectors and wireless broadband!

We are pleased to announce the arrival of some new sofas for our lounge - big, red and very comfy we hope they will help make your stay even better! A huge thank you to those of you who have made contributions over the past couple of years - particularly to the Chris Pownall Group who have waited very patiently for this day! 

Our friends from ISOCLAD were over at the weekend throwing themselves in at the deep end again!
